A good number of the patients I see every week do not live in Jacksonville at all. They live just south of the county line in Fruit Cove, Julington Creek, and other St. Johns County neighborhoods. When I ask how they found me, the answer is usually the same: they searched for a chiropractor near Fruit Cove, kept reading, and decided the short drive up San Jose Boulevard was worth it for the kind of care they wanted.

If you live in Fruit Cove and are looking for a chiropractor, I want to explain what my office offers, why some St. Johns County families choose to make the drive, and how to decide whether it makes sense for you.

Chiropractor Near Fruit Cove, FL: Why St. Johns County Patients Drive to Mandarin

Just Across Julington Creek

My office is at 2950 Halcyon Lane, Suite 201, in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. For most Fruit Cove patients, getting here means heading north on San Jose Boulevard (State Road 13), crossing Julington Creek into Duval County, and continuing into Mandarin. Many of my St. Johns County patients work in Jacksonville, so they schedule visits on their way to work or on the drive home.

My Tuesday hours start at 7:00 am, which helps commuters who want to be in and out before the workday starts. On Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I see patients from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm. You can get directions to San Jose Chiropractic from wherever you are starting.

Why Fruit Cove Patients Make the Drive

There are plenty of chiropractic offices in St. Johns County, and many of them do good work. The patients who drive to Mandarin are usually looking for something specific.

A Specialized Upper Cervical Approach

I practice upper cervical chiropractic, which focuses on the atlas, the top bone in the neck. I am certified in Upper Cervical Orthospinology, and I am the only chiropractor in the Mandarin area with that certification. Fewer than 1% of chiropractors in the United States hold it. For patients specifically searching for this kind of care, that is often reason enough to make the drive.

Gentle Care With No Twisting or Cracking

Many people who find me have tried chiropractic before and did not like the twisting and popping. My adjustments are instrument-assisted, with force comparable to light pressure on the tip of your nose. There is no twisting or cracking of the neck.

Measured, Not Guessed

Before I adjust, I take precise X-rays of the upper neck to measure exactly how your atlas is positioned. After the adjustment, follow-up X-rays confirm whether the correction was made. You do not have to take my word for it; we both get to see the change.

Fewer Visits Over Time

For anyone driving in from St. Johns County, this one matters. I check your alignment at every visit, but I only adjust when your spine actually needs it. The goal is for your body to hold the correction longer and longer, so visits naturally spread out as you stabilize. I explain more about that on my page answering whether you have to keep going to a chiropractor.

One-on-One With the Same Doctor

You see me at every visit. I take time to understand your history and what you have already tried, and I explain what I find in plain language.

What Fruit Cove Patients Come to See Me For

The reasons vary, but the most common ones include:

Many of my patients are working women and moms who simply do not have time to be in pain. Families often start with one person and later bring in a spouse or child. I see patients of all ages, and I wrote a separate post on chiropractic for children and what parents should know. You can see the full list on my conditions page.

I want to be honest about one thing: upper cervical care is not the right fit for every problem. If your exam suggests you need a different kind of care, or a provider closer to home would serve you just as well, I will tell you.

“Always a great visit. I always come away feeling better. I had dealt with dizziness for many years until I came here and I have not had any problems in almost two years. I even went off medication I had been on for at least 12 years. I shared it with my ENT doctor and he was amazed and happy for me. Thank you for helping me get my life back.” Laurie H.

How to Decide Whether the Drive Is Worth It

Whether you choose my office or one closer to home, look for a chiropractor who explains what they find, measures instead of guessing, uses a technique you are comfortable with, and is honest about what they can and cannot help with. I wrote more about that in my post on how to find a good chiropractor in Jacksonville.

If you have tried general chiropractic without lasting results, are dealing with headaches, dizziness, or neck problems, or specifically want upper cervical care, a consultation is an easy way to find out whether my approach fits.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit is a complimentary upper cervical care consultation that lasts about 45 to 60 minutes. We talk through your health history, your symptoms, and what you have already tried. No referral is needed. San Jose Chiropractic is a direct-pay office and does not bill insurance, apart from Medicare.
